How to Save Money While You're in College

Are you a college student who can barely make ends meet with the little money you have? Well, trust me when I say that you definitely are not alone. As a college student, it's hard especially when you have to deal with the expenses of living and the cost of tuition. I'm here to tell you that there is a way you can save more money so that you may be able to get by while you're in college.

Avoid eating out a lot. Now as much as we all love eating out, lets be honest with ourselves, eating out can be pretty expensive. It can really add up. Think about how much money you spend when eating out. Now when you add that up with all the other times you ate out, it can be a chunk of money wasted. Instead, if you can get a meal plan at school, get it and USE IT. You can also save even more money by filling up your mini fridge with food and snacks you like. Search for coupons and whats on sale when you're grocery shopping.

Don't be afraid to shop the clearance rack. Now I know we all have to give into our love for shopping but here is one thing you definitely need to know when it comes to shopping. The clearance rack is your best friend, my friend. If you really take your time and look, you will really find some nice things. The best thing about shopping the clearance racks is that you get MORE for LESS.

Search for discount codes. I'm going to be very real with you. There are a lot of discount codes out there, especially for college students. There is this cool site/app called UNiDAYS and if you've never heard of it, I'm going to tell you all about. So UNiDAYS is a site and an app where you can recieve discounts off of clothes, electronics, FOOD, etc. I've been using it for quite some time now and I love it! Be sure to join today through my special link  https://www.myunidays.com/r/AfiYuSJRgnc and start recieving your discounts TODAY!

Get a coffee maker. The average student that buys coffee spends about $2.50 to $4.00 on a coffee (depending on what size you want) almost everday! Imagine how much that is a month. Now imangine how much that is every semester! Instead, invest in a coffee maker. I can ensure you that you'll be saving over $100 if you get one. They have some pretty affordable ones on Amazon. Here's the links to some that are under $100:  https://amzn.to/2JxX1ex

Purchase used books. Puchashing new textbooks that you are only going to probably need for one semester, isn't worth all your money. Try purchashing used books because they're way cheaper than buying new ones.

Try to cut back on smoking and drinking. If you are a smoker or a drinker, then this applies to you! The cost of smoking and drinking can definitely add up. If you cut back on these, it'll save you more money.

Find roomates. If you're not planning on living on campus, find some roomates you can move in with. This will cut the cost of rent and other bills you need to pay. The best part about it is, all the cost has to be split, so you'll have more than enough help.

Sell what you no longer use. If you have items such as clothes, shoes, or electronics that you no longer use, try selling them. There are tons of apps that you can use to sell these items and sometimes they'll even make the shipping label for you if you don't want to ship it on your own. Try these apps:
Mercari: sign up through this link and you'll recieve $10 off your first purchase. Now I know you wanna sell but this is a win win if you want to shop too! https://merc.li/c9Bfqzb and Poshmark.
