A List of Things to do This Summer/ Summer Bucket List

Summer is literally right around the corner and we all are more than likely trying to plan out some things that we want to do for the summer. One thing that I would like to encourage all of you guys to do is to please please please, stay hydrated!

Summer is one of those seasons where you want to have a complete ball. Most college students will be out for summer break unless they attend summer school. Same things go for elementary and high school students. Summer is that season to make memories and live your life to the fullest.

Here's to summer!

1. Go on a road trip!

This is something I've been yearning to do for sooooooooooo long! Go on a road trip and do spontaneous things. Loosen up and live a little... or a lot! Just try to stay out of trouble. No, you don't have to know where you are going. Just get a couple of your friends, hop in the car, and drive. Play some of your favorite songs. Make sure you have money for gas, to eat, and to do little activities.

2. Have a bonfire.

Bonfires are a great way to gather around and really connect with your friends. You never know, you can have the best conversations sitting by the fire.

3. Go to an amusement park.

Amusement parks are super fun. A perk for an amusement park is that you got so many different spots to take dope photos. Also, amusement parks are a great way to let your inner child show. You get to have fun and win great prizes.

4. Try new food.

You know that new restaurant that opened up in your city that you been wanting to try? Well, go try it! You never know what you like until you try it. Plus, we all need some new food spots to add to our list.

5. Record all your moments in the summer.

It may seem like a weird thing to do, but, this is a good idea because you can edit and add all the videos together a make a cool montage of how your summer went. It's also some good memories to keep that you can watch with your friends over and over. It's also a great way to see yourself grow.

6. Go on a Pinterest worthy picnic.

Picnics are not only a great way to spend time with your significant other, but it is also a great way to spend time and connect with your friends. You can also have a picnic alone if that's what you want to do. It is a great form of self love which leads me to number 7.

7. Practice self love.

Since you may be on summer vacation and more than likely have more time to yourself... practice self love. You'll be able to get more in touch with yourself. Think about it, if you're a person who always happens to put others first, now it's time that you do the same for yourself. Take yourself on a date. Take a mental health day to yourself. Write down your feelings so that you can be more aware.

8. Have a water balloon fight.

This may bring back so many memories. I remember being 8 and having a big water balloon fight with my family and friends. It's a great way to have fun. No matter how old you get, water balloon fights will never get old!

9. Have a BBQ.

Summer is nothing if you don't have a good old fashion BBQ. Throw something on the grill, pop open some wine (if you're old enough, if not, drink some juice or water), and have your friends over.

10. Go camping.

Would you believe me if I said I have NEVER been camping? Well, it's true. I always wanted to go and never been. I think this is a great idea to get in touch with nature. You can even go camping in your backyard!

11. Get a tattoo.

Ever wanted a tattoo but just haven't built up enough courage to go get one? Add that to your summer 2019 bucket list. I say, go for it! I'm most definitely going to be getting my first tattoo this summer.

12. Have a cook/ bake off.

This is one of the most fun events. You get to showcase you skills as well as have things to laugh about with your friends.

13. Go fishing.

14. Build a fire and make s'mores.

Nothing beats sitting by a toasty fire and eating some amazing s'mores.

15. Do a marathon.

Whether you are walking or running, participating in a marathon always will make you feel accomplished. Fun fact: I never participated in a marathon, but I was one of those people on the sidelines cheering people on.

16. Attend a music festival.

I mean who doesn't love music? It's also a way to meet new people so that's a big plus.

17. Go on a hot air balloon ride.

It's a great way to see your city while you are high in the sky.

18. Change your room around.

19. Write a book.

It may or may not sound crazy but at least you gave writing a shot!

20. Test drive your dream car.

This is a great way to get the feel of what it would be like to drive your dream car.

21. Start your own garden.

Wouldn't it be nice to see what amazing things you can grow. You can even start growing your own fruits and vegetables.

22. Try a new hairstyle.

Step out of your comfort zone and try a new hairstyle. You never know how much you may like it.

23. Paint.

Challenge: Get a big canvas and a bunch of different paints and brushes, and paint how you would like your summer to go! You'll also have a new piece to hang in your room!

24. Switch up your hair color.

Time to try new things! Switch up your hair color!

25. Binge watch your favorite TV show.

Now this is for those days that you want to stay in the house and just chill. Grab a couple of snacks and binge watch away!
