CHIT CHAT | Intro + Life Updates | No. 1

Happy Friday! It feels like Summer is going by mighty fast. Anyways, I know you see the title, and your mind is wondering. I'm so excited to let you know, that this is a new series on this blog. I'm using it to share more of my personal life. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read the blog post that I create.

In these Chit Chat posts, I'll be talking about what's going on in my life, sharing new things that I'm into, what to expect, and the list goes on and on but I'm pretty sure you get the point already!



So let's dive into it...

• I recently got a job not too long ago. I was doing Uber Eats at first and I loved it! (If you have a car or bike and are looking to make some extra cash, sign up and deliver with Uber Eats!) I'm super excited about my job because I don't even have to take the bus! I can literally walk to work. 
• I've been apartment hunting. Honestly, I have been doing this for a while and let me say that it has been soooooooooooooo frustrating. Every time I find something that I fall in love with, it gets snatched up right off the market! So what I decided to do is just focus on saving up more and set a certain deadline. The deadline is going to be when I'm ready to move and I feel like I have enough saved up. I think this will be an exciting journey!
• Ya girl is rebranding the blog! I know you all have noticed the new graphics and longer blog posts. I'm honestly proud of myself. Those graphics aren't easy to create, but I do love creating them. I decided to rebrand my blog because I felt that it wasn't appealing to the eye. I'm very passionate about my blog and I never want to keep putting out content that bores me because if it bores me, it more than likely bores you all as well! SO, I spiced it up. 

• Being the tea lover that I am, I've been on a tea kick. The tea that I'm obsessed with right now is Lipton's Black Tea. I used to drink green tea all the time, but I don't know if I'm ever going back.
• I sent my first pitch via email to collaborate with a brand. I just did this so I have yet to hear from them. Honestly, I'm just happy that I did it because I've been contemplating it for the longest. So I'll just give myself a pat on the back!

• I started reading She Means Business by Carrie Green. I'm excited to see what amazing things I will learn from this book. Hopefully, I finish the book though. I have a lot of books that I start reading but I could never bring myself to finish them. I plan to start finishing all the books that I start reading. 

Shows I have been watching.

Netflix has been my thing lately and I want to share with you some shows that have caught my attention.

• Trinkets. This show is about three girls who have an addiction to shoplifting. They're all different, however, they found this connection to one another. I really thought that I wasn't going to like this show but after I watched one episode, it became hard to stop watching. I can't wait for season two.
• In The Dark. I'm so upset because why hasn't anyone told me about this show? That's how good it is. Watching shows similar to this one makes me feel like a detective. I haven't finished watching the entire season, yet. I'm trying to figure out who helped Wesley kill Tyson..... Update: So now I just found out that Wesley more than likely didn't kill Tyson. This is getting really juicy.

Things I'm loving right now...

• My crystals. I purchased some crystals off of Etsy and I am IN LOVE. I started meditating with these crystals and nothing but good things have been happening to me. I love the energy that these crystals give to me. 

• My new glasses. I just want to give a big shoutout to my Uncle Ike for buying me my new glasses. They give me such a professional feel. I got my glasses through Firmoo. They have a really great price on glasses and if you want to get some affordable and stylish glasses, shop here.  
• Writing. I've been writing quite a lot lately and I can say, I'm very pleased with how my writing has been going. When I used to write, I didn't have much to talk about and that is what stopped me from writing, but now I have so much to say.
