Survival Guide Tips #4: The Ultimate Glow Up Guide For Summer

Summer is quickly approaching and a lot of you have asked me to make a post on how to glow up for the summer. With these tips, you will definitely become a baddie and be looking good all summer.

  • Become consistent with your skincare routine.
It is important to be consistent with your skincare routine because you definitely would want your skin to be looking its best. This also helps with keeping acne under control. Be careful with including too many products in your skincare routine because you can potentially damage your skin and we do not want that, at all. Don't forget to exfoliate.

  • Buy your summer clothes ahead of time.
Buying your clothes ahead of time will prevent so many problems. In the summer, everybody are always searching for something to wear during the summer. If you purchase your summer clothes ahead of time, you will have all the hottest clothes and not be so frustrated. Stores tend to always run out of stock during the summer when it comes to clothes for that season simply because a lot of people tend to be late when it comes to buying summer clothes.

  • Change up your hair.
Changing up your hair is always a good thing. You can try a bunch of different looks. If you're old enough and has taken an interest to wigs, I think you should go for it! Wigs would be a good way to change up your look and the best thing about it is, you can take it off a before you go to bed.

  • Find a side hustle.
If you don't already have a side hustle, get one! Get your money, period! You'll be able to spoil yourself or even save up. For instance, if you have a job and get a side hustle, you can save up your side hustle money for a rainy day, better yet, use it to start a business or something. If you don't have a job and you know that your parents aren't going to help you, get a job. You'll be able to do fun things and enjoy yourself.

  • Improve your hygiene. 
Let's keep it real, I'm pretty sure you don't want to be smelly and I'm pretty sure no one else would want to smell it. If your hygiene isn't the best, please work on it. Keep it that way because you want your hygiene to be good all year round.

  • Exercise/Add healthy foods to your diet.
Working out will help you keep you body in shape or get it in shape. Make sure you're incorporating healthier foods into your diet as well. Eating good helps you feel better overall. I have healthy food ideas coming soon so stay tuned for that.

  • Shave/Wax.
Keep that hair off you by shaving or waxing. Waxing is overall better for your skin but if you prefer shaving, that's fine too.

  • Stock up on nail polish.
If you can't go to the nail salon, you can always give yourself a manicure and pedicure at home. This is a good day to keep your toes done because you don't want to have your feet out and your toes aren't done.

  • Lip care.
Please take care of your lips and keep them moisturized! I can not stress this enough! Your lips should not be crusty and cracked. Most importantly, DO NOT pick at your lips.

  • Increase your water intake.
If you don't drink enough water already, increase your water intake. This helps you flush out bacteria and helps your skin glow. You can also try detox water to help your skin as well. I will be making a post on detox water recipes and how they will benefit you so stay tuned for that, also.
